TEAM APPROACH AND COLLABORATION:

TEAM APPROACH:
Our clients receive the benefits of the unmatched DESIGN DOWN PROCESS that goes far beyond conventional architectural Programming. Conventional Programming typically consists of a list of room, building, and site requirements to be met by the architectural design. Beyond a mere list, our clients receive the additional benefits of a thorough analysis of all parameters, from Context and Outcomes through Finance and Celebration. The end result is a Better Road Map for the Future that Aligns the Design and Construction with your Needs and Goals.

COLLABORATION:
The most important Team Member on the Design Team is our Client. It is the Client’s project, not ours, and so our Mission is to Collaborate with the Client from beginning to end so that the Results are Optimized with full Client Participation and Decision Making. In addition, each and every other Design Team Member is hand-selected from a stable of highly capable professionals in order to bring forth the optimum skill, chemistry, and performance on your project. If appropriate, we shall include on the Design Team special consultants to address special project requirements, such as professional estimating, scheduling, and acoustical design.

The Design Down Process

A SYSTEMS APPROACH:

The best Architectural and Construction Solutions are based upon a SYSTEMS APPROACH that capitalizes upon proven methods of delivering the Greatest Value for the Fewest Dollars, and with no associated problems along the way. We have found that the Systems that best meet these criteria are the utilization of both Structural Insulated Panels (“SIPs”) and Modular Construction.

SIPs: Structural Insulated Panels offer a large number of benefits over many conventional methods of construction. SIPs are factory-made panels consisting of a core of foam insulation faced with a structural sheathing, such as Oriented Strand Board (“OSB”). SIPs offer the following advantages over conventional stick-framing construction:

  • Economy
  • Efficiency
  • Speed
  • Higher Quality
  • Ease of Use
  • Strength and Durability
  • Thermal and Acoustical
  • Performance
  • Less Expensive Foundations compared to masonry and concrete construction Sustainability

To create an even better solution for our clients, whenever possible we also utilize Modular Construction. With modular portions of building factory-built, trucked to the site, and then assembled and finished, our clients also receive the improved benefits of:

  • Less Expensive Costs
    Quicker Time to Dry-In
    Quicker Job Completion
    Shorter Financing Periods
    Higher Quality Control
    Less Amount of Prevailing Wages
    Fewer Weather Complications
Fewer Food and Lodging Expenses for non-local workers

PROVEN APPROACHES =
BETTER RESULTS + LESS RISKS

A BASF study conducted by the RS Means unit of Reed Construction Data shows that residential builders can reduce their framing expenses by as much as 55 percent and achieve cost savings as much as 40% by using structural insulated panels (SIPs) instead of conventional “stick-built” methods…

Due to airtight qualities of SIP construction, the EPA waived its blower door test requirements for any SIP homes qualifying for the Energy Star program, thereby reducing the cost of an Energy Star home inspection. Coupled with federal and state tax incentives available for energy-efficient home construction, SIPs offer builders another money saving option.

“It is impossible to ignore the cost effectiveness of structural insulated panels in light of the Time and Motion study,” said Bill Wachtler, SIPA executive director. “The time, material and labor savings during construction and long term energy savings during operations are outstanding benefits available to anyone building with SIPs.”
